NINE INCH NAILS To Play LOLLAPALOOZA?
February 19, 2004According to www.theninhotline.com, New York's K-Rock and Seattle's 107.7 The End radio stations announced today (Feb. 19) that NINE INCH NAILS will headline this year's Lollapalooza tour. The recently resurrected alt-rock festival last year boasted sets from JANE'S ADDICTION, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, INCUBUS, AUDIOSLAVE, THE DONNAS and A PERFECT CIRCLE.
As previously reported, NINE INCH NAILS mastermind Trent Reznor is believed to be in Los Angeles writing songs for the next NIN record, the follow-up to the band's 1999 double album, "The Fragile". Veteran producer Rick Rubin is one of the studio wizards believed to be working with Reznor on the record, which was previously rumored to be titled "Bleedthrough". Other producers believed to be involved with the project include Atticus Ross (12 ROUNDS, TAPEWORM),Jerome Dillon, Leo Herrera, and mix engineer Rich Costey. Among the songtitles set to appear on the CD are "The Line Begins To Blur", "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" and "My Dead Friend". No release date has been scheduled.
